Varietal: 100% Syrah grapes
Vineyards: Produced with Syrah grapes from dryland farmed vineyards in Darling, South Africa. The grapes are grown in strategically selected sites, which get the warm sunny and cooling effect of the Atlantic Ocean. Deep soils from decomposed granite and rich clay help to provide good drainage.

TASTING NOTES

“Monte, Noughty’s new red’s deep, ruby colour is encouraging, and the bright blackberry aromas, with just a hint of spice, are in keeping with those found in young, fruit-driven reds. It tastes crisp and fruity, with more texture than expected, a dry finish and a note of tannin that fills out the mid-palate nicely. Pleasingly satisfying and moreish.”
